What To Expect:

Accessible Parking:

There is a small car park outside the Museum which can accommodate five cars. There are also two accessible spaces near the entrance of the Museum. Information on other car parks in the area can be found here: https://www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/car-parks-and-parking/car-parks-bute-and-cowal.

Wheelchair Access and Lift:

There is a ramp leading from the car park outside the Museum into the foyer of the building. From the downstairs foyer, there is a lift up to the main entrance of the Museum. This measures 29 inches across. We have a manual wheelchair available to borrow. From there, there is step free access to the Museum reception. Once there, we have a stairlift which travels up and down the six steps to the main exhibition area. Coming back down, you go back to the Museum reception and then through to our Victorian corridor. Please note that there are  five unavoidable steps down to the last two of our four Victorian Rooms. â€‹

Accessible Toilet:

An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor of the Museum.
